    Scott, Lakhiani and Advani claim divisional honours in Emirates Monthly Medal

    Emirates Golf Club welcomed 53 golfers to the Majlis Course last weekend for the March Monthly Medal. The event delivered strong scoring and competitive play across all divisions.

    In Division A – Handicap index 7.3 and below, Ian Scott secured victory with a net 68 (-4), recording net birdies on holes five, nine, twelve, and fourteen, and net eagles on six and eighteen.

    Vivek Chand finished second with a net 69 (-3), including three net birdies on the front nine, a net eagle on sixteen, and a closing birdie on eighteen. Tom Luig took third with a net 70 (-2), posting birdies on six, nine, ten, and sixteen.

    The Gents Stableford competition was won by Ewan Cameron with 38 points, achieving net birdies on holes five, eight, twelve, and eighteen, and a gross birdie on four. Syed Hilal recorded the Best Gross with a 75 (+3), including eight pars, one bogey on the front nine, and gross birdies on ten and thirteen.

    In Division B – Handicap index 7.4–12.4, Anand Lakhiani claimed first place with a net 70 (-2), scoring birdies on one, two, six, and thirteen, and a net eagle on ten. Darren Batt finished second on countback with a net 71 (-1), and Ronak Shah took third with the same score, including a net eagle on four and birdies on sixteen and eighteen.

    Division C – Handicap index 12.5 and above was won by Sanjay Advani on countback with a net 71 (-1), recording birdies on seven, eight, eleven, and sixteen. Nikolay Ambrosov also finished on 71 (-1), with four front-nine birdies and net eagles on ten, sixteen, and eighteen. Suresh Shewakramani secured third place with a net 72 (level par), including a net eagle on five and several birdies throughout the round.

    Nearest the Pin winners were Anand Lakhiani on hole seven and Faisal Alkhaja on hole eleven.

    The Emirates Golf Club continues to host top-level competitions across its Majlis and Faldo courses, which remain a highlight of the region’s golfing calendar.

    1st: Ian Scott – Net 68 (-4)
