    Sultan bin Ahmed witnesses swearing-in of 31 judicial officials

    SHARJAH, 24th August, 2026 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, witnessed on Monday morning the swearing-in ceremony of 31 members of the Judiciary and Public Prosecution in the Emirate of Sharjah, held at His Highness’s office.

    The swearing-in ceremony included six judges of the Court of Cassation, 19 senior appeal judges, one advocate general, and five assistant chief prosecutors.

    The Deputy Ruler of Sharjah congratulated the judges and consultants, emphasising their pivotal role in the judicial and legal system. He highlighted their contributions to promoting the rule of law, safeguarding public and private rights, upholding the principles of justice and integrity, and reinforcing societal stability.

    He also highlighted ongoing efforts to provide the best tools and systems that enable judges and legal consultants to perform their roles with efficiency, integrity, and independence, while streamlining processes for all stakeholders across the judicial and legal framework.

    The judges and legal consultants expressed their sincere gratitude for the immense trust placed in them, affirmed their commitment to discharging their assigned duties with integrity and justice, and to protect the rights of individuals and institutions in accordance with applicable laws and legislation.

    The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Counsellor Dr Mansour Mohamed bin Nassar, Chairman of the Sharjah Government Legal Department and Vice President of the Judicial Council; Dr Mohamed Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Judicial Department; Ahmed Abdullah Al Mulla, President of the Court of Cassation; Counsellor Anwar Amin Al Harmoudi, Attorney-General of the Emirate of Sharjah; Dr Salama Rashid Salem Al Ketbi, Head of the Judicial Inspection Department; Dr Saeed Ali Bahbouh Al Naqbi, President of the Courts of Appeal; Dr Omar Obaid Al Ghoul Al Salamy, President of the Sharjah Courts of First Instance; and Sheikh Faisal bin Ali bin Abdullah Al Mualla, Secretary General of the Judicial Council.
